THEY DID IT— After living happily at 666 Sixth Avenue, Rachelle King and Tim Bascom decided to stay with sixes and married on 6/6/06. The wedding was a quiet City Hall civil ceremony with their children (Holden, Logan and Joe), Rachelle’s parents (Pamela and Stan King) and good friends (the Hoaglands) in attendance. Bells and whistles came later that evening at the Angel Orensanz Foundation reception. During the cocktail hour Stanley’s Washboard Kings entertained guests, many from New Zealand and Canada. Later the out of towners and fire-islanders moved to DJ Karin Ward’s music. The party for all ages exceeded Rachelle and Tim’s dreams…

AND BABY MAKES THREE—Jordan Schindel announced his arrival on March 9th and was introduced to the Friday Flynn’s’ Happy Hour tradition by Nikki and David…Maxwell Michael bounced in at 8 pounds, 7 ounces on May 30th. This new addition was heralded by Michael and Aija Hayes. (Aija. Is looking forward to resuming her bartender job at the Inn- Between and see their new addition – a state of the art Wurlitzer)…Health care veteran, Nancy Martorana, happily delivered her grandchild, Sofia Justine Berk on October 1st. You can credit Nancy with starting the tattoo eye brow craze that’s happening in OBP…

JUNE GRADUATIONS—Beaming Nana and Papa (Rita and Wally Butler) announced that their talented granddaughter, Rebecca Borrer was asked to sing at graduation from Anderson Middle School and had chosen Bronx High School of Science over all the other specialized schools… Amy Brandt graduated from Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua and will continue her studies at the University of Hartford Art School as an Art Major – Is an Amy Brandt exhibit in the offing?… Zoe Klein graduated with honors from Columbia Prep and will start Barnard in the fall…Noelle Flynn Morano was class valedictorian at Loyola, the recipient of the NY State Comptrollers Award, the Jesuit Ignatius Award and the Provost Scholarship. She will attend Santa Clara University in California… Congrats to these four talented and bright ladies…

LUCKY LADIES— Tanya Tesa walked away from a 12 vehicle pile up on the New Jersey Turnpike with only bruises and a few broken ribs. Her car was demolished when the truck behind her pushed her into another truck – but thankfully she was wearing her seat belt and the air bags deployed… Paula Ingram threw her business card into the fishbowl at the Real Estate convention in Las Vegas and walked out with more than goldfish the 2006 Porsche. Robert Hebron and his son Robert drove the two-seater cross-country picking up only two speeding tickets, lucky or not... Nori Abramson is one lucky lady to have Susan and Irwin Axelrod as grandparents. Nori and company had a two-day “Sweet Sixteen” party in and around their pool and hot tub…
